2 Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

“Blood is thicker than water.” For most people, parents are the most important persons in their life. Such a fact, however, do not justify the argument that parents are also the best teachers.

开头弱。

To begin with, generation gap could result in a series of failures in education. There exist a great deal of differences between parents and their children in many respects such as education, times, and minds. It is widely acknowledged that such differences usually lead to problems of mutual understanding and communication which are deeply conceived as foundation of education. Many parents, even those who are well educated, neglect to seek the answers to a series of simple yet fundamental questions such as what persons their children hope to be , what they really like and how they perceive the whole world before they inculcate ideas, principles and knowledge into their minds. Even those parents who really want to explore them also find it difficult and always end up with confusion. Consequently, many children refuse to accept their parent’s education and even break those rules set for them intentionally. Those conceptions and rules which are highly esteemed by their parents are nothing more than a pile of useless clichés and outdated stereotypes in their eyes. Furthermore, more often than not parents conceptions which are etched by their times and backgrounds also may not accommodate to this changing world. As a result, children inevitably suffer the loss of wrong instruction and direction which make difference especially when children are faced with the dilemma of making important decision.

这个是算第一个论据麽? 似乎有点。。。冗长吧。

secondly, most parents are more inclined than other people to employ improper or even wrong teaching methods. Because they love their kids too much, they tend to spoil them and hence tolerate excessively their drawbacks and faults. It follows that children gradually form bad habits. They begin smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, and even committing crime. A study conducted by a professional researcher of juvenile crime in china shows that most of the crime are directly related to the children’s family environment and their parent’s over-indulgence. On the other hand, parents easily lay more stress than necessary on their kids when they educate them. In order to make their kids become what they expect to be, parents frequently make rigid study plans and set high goals for them. Admittedly, such a method sometimes pays off. In many cases, however, it may lead to negative effects. For one thing, it could hurt the children’s initiative and enthusiasm. For another, unnecessary stress it causes could damage both physical fitness and mental health of children. Both these two points are detrimental to children’s education.

Granted, parents feed up children and live with them. In contrast with other people, they have more opportunities to influence and educate them. But this is not equal to say they are also the best teachers. There lay disadvantages just as I mentioned above which challenge them as the best teachers.

In conclusion, to be the best teachers, parents still have a long way to go.

结尾弱。

总的来说,楼主MM有足够实力的。尽量把文章写得四平八稳一点吧。
