The Master of Supply Chain Management (MSCM) program at the University of Washington Foster School of Business is a one-year STEM program that blends end-to-end supply chain concepts like strategic sourcing and channel management with big data analytics, cross-functional business knowledge, and hands-on, industry experience.
The class size is around 40 people each year. Please find the class profile of 2020 class below.
Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings (6-9:30 p.m.) and every other Saturday (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with lunch breaks). Outside class study time typically ranges between 15-20 hours a week. International students can work on part-time jobs on-campus or off-campus (subject to the requirement of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service) in the daytime.
1.2. About Foster School of Business 1.2.1. Rankings In the past two years, the University of Washington Foster School of Business has advanced 15 places in the Finance and Business Administration subject rankings of the 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities.
In Business Administration, Foster is #22 in the world, up from #32 in 2018 and #37 in 2017.
Among U.S. public business schools, Foster is ranked #2 in Finance, #10 in Business Administration, and #13 in Management.
1.2.2. Industry Relationship Foster School of Business has a long history cooperating with companies like Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Boeing, Costco, Expeditor International, Microsoft, Paccar, Starbucks, T-Mobile and etc. Industry leaders will be invited to the classroom to share industry insights and career development experience. Students would be able to connect with working professionals in the industry and prepare themselves for future success.

2. Why MSCM at UW Foster As a student of Class 2020, I enjoyed all the time studying with the cohort. We have around 10 study teams and will team up with other students after 6 months. Besides all the individual assignments and tests, all the teammates need to work together to complete team assignments including solution design and presentation. You will work closely with cohort mates working in other industries and from other countries. Below are some highlights of the program.
· MSCM is a certified STEM program with 36-month OPT after graduation. · Program is on cohort base which means that you will work through courses with your teammates. · The program includes a Six Sigma green belt training with a certificate. · There are many opportunities to participate in experiences like internships, full-time jobs, practicum projects, company tours, etc. · There is an abroad study trip during spring break. Participants will have the opportunity to visit industry well-known companies and learn the local practice of supply chain management in another country. · Foster School of Business has a dedicated career service center to facilitate students especially international students to find job placement.

4. Other Information 4.1. Application Deadlines For international applicants who need to apply for NEW F-1 visa, the application deadline is December 16th, 2019. For the international applicants who have an F-1 visa and need to transfer I-20 from another institution, or have valid H1-B, H4 or other visas and do not need to apply for NEW F-1 visa, the application deadline is January 15th, 2020.
4.2. Estimated Tuition Fee and other costs for International Students The total tuition fee for the 12-month MSCM Program is $42,888 for non-residents. The charts below outline the estimated fees and estimated total program cost. Fees are paid quarterly and are due by the Tuition/Fee Assessment Deadline. Admitted students are required to pay a $1,500 non-refundable and non-transferable tuition deposit. This deposit is applied to your summer quarter tuition balance.
