These are all decent programs. Overall, I would say that Wash U is probably the strongest on this list. Cornell would be good if you want to do theory or microstructure. UMich used to be good, but Nagel just left for Chicago. Not familiar with Austin, but it should also be a good program.
But be aware that these programs may be, in some sense, as hard as top 10 econ PhD programs to get into due to the nature of finance PhD programs, having extremely small cohorts. |
