The man thinks this is a good idea because 1、it won't take much work to do research. 2、provide an opportunity to get personal help from the adviser, rather than just some comments on the paper.

examples in the lecture: Max is a happy baby. He likes to smile a lot.(P smiles back.) He asks for help.(P will hold him.) He bubbles to communicate with P. ( P will talk to him.) On the other hand, when he grows up, his P will ask him to smile more, and to communicate , to socialize.
5、Two students are talking about organizing a poetry reading.
probelm: too many students sign up for this reading. 20 students. last year there was less than 10.  So they don't have enough room for all these 20 students.
solutions:
1、Ask the students who sign up first 10 to attend this reading. And inform the others to wait for the next opportunity. But the woman afraids that those students may not agree.
2、Borrow one more place. They can borrow a place in 某个学院。But then that place won't like the cafeteria they borrow first to have food to eat and drink.


6、 feromon  a special chemical sent out into the air by insects. It has two functions.
The first is to find the way home. Like the bees. While the bees go out to find food, those who stay in the hive would send out the feromon. The bees go out to find food sense it and then they can get home.
The second is to mate. 一种虫，female wants to mate, it will send the feromon into the air. Then the male will use the feromon to find out where the female is and they can mate.

TOPIC: IRON FERTILIZATION
Here is a version I recall.


The author of the reading passage does't think highly of the iron fertilization, citing several scientific examples to prove his worrys. On the other hand, the lecturer explains that iron fertilization is useful to reduce CO2.


Iron fertilization, according to the author, is not effective. Nevertheless, the lectuer explains that the study quoted by the author is not accurate because the time it spends is too short, only one month. After two or three months, as he says, the absorption of CO2 increases enormously.


Besides, the toxin which may be produced by iron fertilization can removed immediately after stopping iron fertilization. Hence, iron fertilization won't cause permenant damages to those areas as the author says.


The lecturer also points out that although it would be to some extent dangerous to adopt iron fertilization, it would be much riskier to let the world get warmer. Global-warming can cause far more serious economical disasters than those caused by iron fertilization.


To sum up, the contents in the reading passage are totally jeopadized by the lecturer who draws a conclusion that the advantages of iron fertilization overweigh the disadvantages.

1、一个学生找adviser to get help for his history paper. the adviser 说他们只能帮他找资料什么的，但是论文的内容学生只能去找教授讨论（考点），学生的这篇论文主要问题是GRAMMER，所以他想预约一个帮助时间，但是时间都排满了，一直到周五下午才有空位，但是他这篇论文周五上午就要交的。ADVISER建议他去NORTH CAMPUS， 那里有个帮助的地方，但是那个地方只对engineering的students开放，那个学生是bio专业的，所以他不能参加。那个adviser又建议他去WEST CAMPUS， 学生说那里太远了，ADVISER说可以做校园巴士去，学生说那里的开放时间他刚好有事，去不了。最后，学生看了下预约表，发现他的室友预约了周二的，但是他知道他室友的论文要下周才交，他可以跟让他把位置让出来。ADVISER说可以，但是要室友给他打个电话。

柏拉图认为人和社会一样， 一个和谐的人必须有三样东西和谐工作。换成社会的角度就是WORKER、soldier、leader。
