1. 工作压力大，人们更加希望从亲人那里得到支持。中国的传统春节，一直是关注的焦点，因为大家还是非常重视亲情和大家庭。如果只是为了3口到4口之家，完全没有必要到处跑。
2. 亲情是没有条件的，友情有时候需要交换。比如说，当你搬家的时候，你的一个表哥知道你现在囊中羞涩，所以他送了一张床给你。你不需要很快回报他，因为你们之间互相信任。而如果另外一种情况下，你的一个普通朋友送了一张床给你，他会希望你很快就有等值的东西甚至就是金钱回报他。因为，你们关系是朋友。当我上大学的时候，我有一个cousin来看我，给了我一千元钱作为零花，我非常的感激。每年过年的时候我都希望到她家去看看她。我们的extended family并没有减少重要性，相反，因为我们的姐妹减少了。表姐妹之间的感情反而更加加深了。
3. 最后，很多在海外工作或学习的人，都特别惦记家人，他们甚至一完成学业就回国，很大一部分原因是因为他们的祖籍在中国的某个地方。家谱上有他们的名字，他们很重视extended family。

With the development of the modern society, the life’s pace becomes increasingly fast, the extended family numbers have less communications than before. Therefore there is a saying that someone argues “the extended family is less important than before. To some extent,It is reasonable. The extended family numbers have no leisure time to keep touch with each other at ordinary times; on the contrary, they can only get together in holidays like the Christmas day; what’ worse, for the young couples, they only put efforts to their own enterprises and enjoy themselves, however, they don’t choose to have a child. For the olds, when the children grow up living for their own business, they can only stay and live with their spouses. For all these appearances(phenomenon), It seems that the individuals become more independent, but I know they are lonely.
Many people do not live with their relations. Actually, they may have more spare time they can spend by themselves and do not need to take account into others. In their own apartments, they can do everything if they like. But in the other side, sometimes they may feel lonely. You can image a situation that in a small family they have no brothers and sisters, the one can only face the time whatever it good or hard by himself until they get married. They can only talk with their spouses, So in the normal time, many people would prefer surfing on net or even watching boring TV programs by themselves to talking with a friend .
The relations would never desert you and be helpful in time of adversity . The small family may be more flexible than the large, but it isn’t wonderful. It couldn’t be stable when it faces disasters like the illness, the fire and other misfortunes. Furthermore, the tends the society develops towards are interdependent and in needs the individuals to make cooperation. In this sense the extended family numbers are the best choice. Many famous enterprises were built and managed by large families, such as Rockefeller family, Morgan family and so on. I think an important reason is the numbers in an extended family know and belief each other better than others.
The relations may settle down in different regions, and with the quick pacing modern life,they can’t get together easily. But the extended family is still important, and they may keep touched by modern instruments like telephone, internet and so on.
All in all. Counting all the above points, I could make a conclusion that the extended family is still important

观察和研究动物给我们很多机会研究人性。首先，很多动物都具有社会性。比如马，他们都有首领，有领域，他们互相尊重，是十分优雅的动物。甚至在gulliver's travels中，讲到yahoo和himalas，就是以马的优雅为代表的。比如antelope他们就没有leader，攻击性强，尤其是在breed season。研究他们可以看清我们自己。其次，我们还经常研究动物的忠实性，来希望自己也有同样的美德。比如狗，不仅可以Pulling sleds, aid for the blind，还对主人非常忠实，甚至还可能在危急时刻挽救主人的生命。我们经常可以看到有些地方有动物纪念碑，因为他们是人类最忠实的朋友。再次，我们还研究群体性动物，比如蚂蚁和蜜蜂，他们分工合作，创造了很多奇迹。这些也是研究人类分工合作的很重要的资料。
我们也知道了很多团队精神，collaboration，communication的重要性。

“Animal World” is one of my favorite TV programs. When I watch it, I am always surprised by certain similarities between animals and human beings. So I believe that animals’ behaviors reveal some aspects of human nature.
Every creature, whether this creature is an animal or a man, follows some rules, such as the Natural Selection theory put up by Darwin. The set of characteristics called human nature is shared by all normal human beings, and it was formed during a long time of evolution. Before human beings were so evolved to have advanced technology, they suffered same things like other kinds of animals. For instance, both men and animals will tend to protect young ones when an emergency takes place, for the reason that all creatures knew the significance of children. Only have a stable number of cubs can a group survive. Animals’ behaviors have parallels in human nature.
Besides, human’s characteristics nowadays have been greatly influenced by factors like desires for money and fame. People spend too much time thinking about salaries, social status and so on that there is little time remained to listen to our own hearts. Some people are driven by these desires to do things which disobey human nature. But if we watch the scene when a mother zebra tries her best to protect her baby zebra from being hurt by a hunter, we will surely be touched and remember our own mothers. It is much easier for us to know about human nature if we observe and study animals’ behaviors for animals are much less complex than human beings.
However, there are differences between human beings and animals, certainly. Human beings are more rational and have the ability to judge. The results coming out from observation and study of animals’ behaviors can only be accounted as references. When we come to a conclusion, we should take the distinctions between animals and men into consideration.
All in all, I agree observing and studying animals’ behaviors helps us to learn human nature. In fact, I think it is a rather easy and efficient way to achieve this goal.
