Is it better to spend money on traveling and vacation or to save the money for the future?
Yesterday I watched a TV program about the fluctuation of the stock market. During the interview part, I saw two attitudes on dealing with money completely the opposite. Some people who earned a lot laughed with pride telling the reporter his vacation plan, while some others in a miserable face claimed in sorrow that he’s going to invest more which is considered as” save the money for the future”. On my point of view, these two emotions exactly symbolize the different ultimateness of spending the money on recreations or saving them for the future. From this perspective, I’m inclined to say that it’s better to spend my money on traveling and vacations than to deposit them.
On the one hand, spending more money on traveling and vacation can broaden my horizons. Different cultures all over the world would enrich my experiences and enlarge my knowledge. Furthermore, a good relaxation seems to be necessary after the endeavors I’ve made to earn money. Besides, I totally enjoy spending my money in that the whole travel process would be accompanied by a sense of fulfillment which is actually the real desire for making the money. In contrast, saving money for the future lacks pleasures and the sense of achievement. It’ll be ridiculous for me to deposit the big amount of money in bank while desperately being eager for some entertainment outside.
On the other hand, many people allege that they save the money for the future in case some certain diseases’ advents. Ironically, most of these diseases can actually be avoided by positive attitudes and behaviors towards the life such as traveling or taking a vacation. A statistic according to the working people in several Asia metropolitans turns out that 62% of the interviewees have some chronic illness, of which one of the reasons lies in daily apprehensions and pressures. What if they have tried some activities relaxing such as a long journey that they’ve looking forward to approaching to for a long time in advance? No doubt it will dramatically lighten the worries and meanwhile comfront the tired soul which may prevent them from being caught by those diseases to some extent. Thus, we can apparently see the different outcomes between the two ways of dealing with the money.
Furthermore, spending money on traveling and vacation will keep me away from contemplating all day around on how to handle the amount of money “adequately”. I admit that solutions such like investment and insurance might increase the value of the money, but comparatively, after reminding myself that I’ve already utilized them in travel, which is meaningful and delightful, I will always feel much more motivated to pursue the next goal in my career. The experiences of the journey function as some sort of stimulations from which I get more power while saving a lot of energies on thinking about the so-called right ways to spend the money as well.
All in all, I bolster the concept that it’s better to spend money on traveling and vacation due to the fact that it can appease my tired spirit and cheer me up in my work simultaneously. In contrast, saving money for the future can do nothing but bring about new annoyances and it can hardly guard me against the contingencies either.
