[校友答疑] 面试指南+经验分享

前几天Arden打电话跟我说,她想告诉中国学生,在面试的时候,她不想听到完整的完美的答案,她想要的是free talk, 希望中国学生能够在面试里显示最真实的自己,而不是模板式的回答。

另外,她希望我在这里给大家分享一下美国校园、课堂的真实环境。

Instead of expecting you to review the books and provide a 100% accurate answer, professors would be more happy to see your "imperfect" answers from your own point of view.
Let's take the interview as an example, when asking you why you choose WPI, most of the students would refer to the advantages of the university, like saying the ranking/reputation is pretty high, or the academic achievements of the institute wins great recogniation across the states, etc. However, the interviwers would be more willing to hear from your own experience. More comfortable answers like I love playing (a kind of sports), which WPI enjoys excellent training team; or WPI is near Boston area and generally have more job opportunities.
