American Born in China (5)                               What I love about China.  

There are a lot of things I love about China but I'm going to start out with the food, I absolutely love the food. I don't if I just love food or I genuinely love Chinese food but either way Chinese food is amazing and especially Yunnan and Guizhou with all the amazing spices. If you were to ask me to describe why I like Chinese food so much I don't think I would be be very well able to do it, so I guess that means I have to move on.

Chinese people, great people and very friendly for the most part. The only reason why I say for the most part is because I did have a guy run at me with a knife and tell me no Chinese girl was for me, that's a very interesting story so I'll expound a little. One day while I was playing basketball a guy I never met before ran at me with a large knife. He starting to scream at me saying "no Chinese girl is for you" and "this is my school, leave now!" plus a ton of profanities. I'm thinking some "foreigner" stole his girlfriend or something so he just went crazy at the sight of another "foreigner". Finally he put his knife away and things kinda deescalated after that but he did give me a good scare. He came back later and asked if I wanted to be Chinese people's slaves because of the financial situation in the United States and obviously I said "no thanks!" All of this was in English and despite him being Chinese he seemed to know a large amount of profanities plus some other vocabulary. But I am surprised that kinda thing has only happened to me once.

Lets end on a nice note. China is extremely beautiful and is developing very fast, I love to see new roads and buildings are being built and old streets being fixed I think it comes with me being a perfectionist.
