According to Columbia's website, the round 1 deadline for Columbia is Jan 10th, 2005 and only from then on the adcom will start review applications. Therefore I doubt if anybody can receive an interview invitation prior to Jan 10th. My thought only.

I submitted on 10/09, got spending a couple days later, no invitation for interview yet, still waiting.....

I have wrote many e-mails to admissions office. They told me the final result will come in 8-12 weeks. I think it is just courteous reply

If I submit the application online, say in December, does that mean the admission result will come about 8~12 weeks after my status changed to complete, or 8~12 weeks after the deadline of that round (i.e. early Jan.)?

It is not a good sign I didn't get my invite yet. some people from business week got theirs even they have submitted later than me. Do you care to share your background? Mine is as follows:

female, 750gmat, 3.4 GPA, 2-3 years w/e in Engineering, U.S.
