有没有申请HBS Round1的

一个朋友本科wharton的double major,  mckinsey 两年associate，world bank 两年associate，gmat 790, extra就不用说了，居然去年连面试的机会都没有。。。

She/he became an assocaiate right after graduation? Interesting to know!! I thought every undergrad has to start as an analyst.

I dont see why harvard didnt even offer him/her an interview. Maybe this person screwed up the essays so badly, or there were just so many mckinsey-world bankers applying for hbs last year.

yeah, my mistake. he was an analyst in mckinsey. he applied for hbs, stanford and kellogg. neither hbs nor stanford sent him interview call... i guess he must have screwed up his essays (he told me they were strong, though ) or his career path just doesn't make much sense...from private sector to public sector and go back to b-school... anyways, he got into kellogg finally

But from your introduction, his career path, at least the last two steps, is from consulting firm to business school. It's quite common. Difficult to figure out why no interview...........

A friend from the board of HBS told me HBS only interviews 30% of the people it admits. Hope that explains why the guy was rejected without an interview

so is there anyone else's interested in HBS, and is willing to "dump 225 as donation" so to give it a try?

I am in, how about let's get in a group and work together to see if we can boost up Chinese enrollment this year?

so how about the rest 70% of the admitted, get in without interviews?
