When famous people such as actors, athletes and rock stars give their opinions, many people listen. Do you think we should pay attention to these opinions? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answers.
In a modern society, to choose whether to pay attention to famous people’s opinions or not is something of a dilemma to the public. Depending on personal experiece and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the idea that is reasonal to follow what the famous people have said or done, while others prefer to ignore of it and that is also my point. Among numerous reasons why I hold confidence on ignoring famous people’s opinion, and I would explore three of them as follows.
First of all, most famous people such as actors, athletes, namely superstars have little knowledge and have not received a good education. They are not experts with authority in particular field. For instance, Yang Chenglin, a singer and anchor, who is famous for her perfect appearance and sweet voice, once hosted an entertainment program with a large amount of audiences. She did’t know how long the second world war lasted but still talked about the thrill wartime as a happy period. If some children have seen this program, they may be misleaded by her words and attitude to the horrible war and cannot understand human’s eternal pain suffered from fight and war.
There is another reason that deserves some words. Sometimes famous people declair their opinions just because of accepting “advertisement” fee. As powder milk produced by quite a few corperations has been found mixed with something toxic and poisonous, many famous people as spokemen of these corperations have been severely criticiezed by the public as well. They have received large numbers of money from these firms to beat the drum for the production. They are no responsible for the public’s health and only take care of their own fame.
As a proverb says, “a coin has two sides”, I admitte that some famous people are often seen in charitable performance. However, while part of them are to gain much applause, only minorty concentrate themselves in charities. Therefore, we ought to offer sympathy and help but not to pay attention to their opinions.
To sum up, as all these reasons are contemplated, it’s not advisible to pay attention to famous opinions.
