some tips, awa4.5

Thank you for all the help form this site although I have been underwater most of the time. I only got 4.5 on awa but still would like share one piece of experience with you.

Template, Template, Template…a long template

DO use the templates from this site to build your own templates for your essay writing. There is no way one can exaggerate the importance of templates for the following reasons.

Templates save your preparation time. Altogether I spent less than 10 hours on awa. If you only want to get a decent score in a short period of time, a good template is the key;

Templates save time your spend on your test. Templates helped me shape my thinking process and construct some specific examples;

I suck at typing and therefore prepared a relatively lengthy template. I type the template in the Notepad once every day and time myself to less than 15 minutes. Then I copy what I typed into a word file and find out all the typing mistakes. You will be amazed how repeatedly you type the same words wrong. Keep these words in mind and nail them.

Because the awa writing is at the beginning of the test, A good start will keep you stay in the exam.  Although I memorized my essay templates well before the test, I still stumbled and forgot some sentences. But do not panic and reassure yourself that you will be fine. I think my lengthy temples came to help because I know I will have at least 400 words even if I drop some sentences.

Of course, this will just help you to cope with the exam and will not improving your real writing ability. In the future, a poor writing ability will sure make me suffer.
