求解ＢＹ上两道逻辑表达题目

答案是Ｃ，Ａ．Ｂ给的错误原因是说no less than表示多于，或不亚于，放在句子中意思不合理，而nothing other than 不强于，不多余，语法上和逻辑上都不合理，应该去掉

不是很明白为什么不合理，这两个结构算作强调吗？如果是强调的话是否可以随意改动呢？怎么才能揣测到作者是想要表达强调的意思还是不表达呢？

这个题我没多想就选了一个Ａ，但是答案给的Ｅ，说是根据上下文意思，美国人口数量和公民所用资源形成了强烈对比，所以划线部分必须表达出这种强烈的对比来．这个我倒是能理解，但是真是考试的话简直太难做这么大胆的事情了．．．

很疑惑的一点是although不是连词吗？后边应该加完整句子啊，这里跟的是分词，是为什么呢？

问题一：

“在....之前，一个科学技术上的突破是必要的”和“在....之前，不少于一个科学技术上的突破是必要的”单纯从necessary来说，既然是必要的，当然是尽量多一些，那么no less than和necessary会不会重复呢？

nothing other that表示不多于，那翻译为“不多于一个...是必要的”，意思不通

although accounting for是although United States citizens account for的省略形式
