TWE162 谢谢指导(我要5分)

Some famous athletes and entertainers earn millions of dollars every year. Do you think these people deserve such high salaries? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

When it comes to the issue as to whether the famous athletes and entertainers should earn millions of dollars or not, people are likely to provide different responses due to their experiences and standpoints. Some people claim that they should get the high salaries. Others, on the contrary, may think that it is unfair. As far as I am concerned, of the two opinions, I would rather agree with the former than the latter, based on them spending too much time, training hard, and suffering difficult emotion in their career.

First of all, these athletes and entertainers have to spend much more time to train themselves to become famous ones. In fact, they have spent a lot of time and money to involve the fields since they were children. Moreover, most people are eager to become excellent athletes or famous entertainers, but only a few of them are able to achieve the goal. For example, if you want to become a pianist, you not only have talent in this field, but also spend a lot of money to hire teachers and much more time to practice it. Otherwise, you can hardly compete with other persons and then become a successful musician. When we see the rewards that they are getting, we should also notice what they are doing when we are enjoying our lives in our spare time.

More important, they have to work hard before they can achieve success. Many athletes often suffer the inevitable pain in their career. For instance, many football stars have to do operation after they are injured. Some of them even have to quit their favorite career because of serious pain. Therefore, the great salaries are just compensation to their past work to some extent.

In addition, they face a great deal of pressure in emotion. On the one hand, they have to struggle and compete with many other persons before they succeed. On the other hand, when they become famous athletes and entertainers, they also suffer the pressure of fearing failure. Especially, facing various pressures, some of them ever commit suicide.

To sum up, from what I discussed above, famous athletes and entertainers have to spend too much time and money to exercise, work hard, and suffer a lot of pressure before they can become celebrities. Therefore, they deserve the high salaries.
