Do you agree of disagree with the following statement? People now are easier to become educated than in the past.
Recently, the big companies in various field like Microsoft, Toyota, and China Central Bank tends to prefer employees with higher education degree. In such a situation, more and more people choose to get educated in order to compete with their rivals of the same field. Also, there comes a lot of new universities after the Second World War, which makes it possible for people to get educated.
Having weight many factors into account, I will clearly say that I agree with the opinion that people now are easier to become educated than in the past and reckon that it is sensible and rational.
First of all, the external factors make it easier for people to get educated. Some people work tirelessly for an inside look at the mathematics behind numbers and statics. The fact is we can not deny that the numbers say something. According to the latest National Education magazine’s reports, the latest result of the educated population indicates that about 57 percent of all the people in China get educated since the Second World War, while only 17 percent of all the people in China get educated before the Second World War. The fact is, much more people get educated today than previous time. The external factors like a more complete education system, and the modern technology like the Internet, the electronic media enables people to get more access to education. Thanks to the education system today, people can spend less money to get educated, which is responsible for the raise of the educated population.
What’s more, the internal factors also enable people to get educated more easily. Nowadays many companies require their employee to master the professional skills in order to do well in their position. The best way people can get the required skills is to get educated. People are faced with more rivals than before. For example, my grandfather say that when he was young, he did not need a high education experience to obtain a good job, while my brother, who graduated from university this summer, say that the more you get educated, the more competitive you can be among all the competitors for a good job. So because people themselves want to get educated in order to get a good job, they struggle to go to middle after primary school, and then collage.
Also, I have to conceive that ancient times, at certain degree, enable people to get educated subjectively. The thought of people in the past was easy, it was the interest in some areas that drives them to get educated.
Taking all the factors into account, I agree that it is easier for people today to get educated. What is more, it is essential for us to have circumspection before drawing a conclusion. |
