题目：A or DA The rapid growth of cities in today's world is a mostly positive development for our society

Have you ever noticed the cities boosting strikingly day by day? Hardly can people give a negative answer. It is obvious that our cities are developing at a high speed, and this is where the controversary arises. Speak of the rapid growth of cities, some people may hold the standpoint that the expanding rate of cities is too high for people to catch up with. As rapid growth is always companied with serous unemployment and environment pollution, the assertion that boost of cities may harm our society seems plausible. Tempting as such claim might be, it is hardly true. From my point of view, I put my support on that the rapid growth of cities nowadays is beneficial to the development for our society.
On the one hand, citizens could benefit enormously from the rapid development of cities in various fields. Life abounds with such examples. A larger transportation system makes people save time on the road to do other important things, such as watering flowers or feeding fish. Providing more education opportunities for children can impose the development of society by increasing the number of people who is useful to our society. Having been living in Beijing for more than twenty years, I witnessed the capital city of China growing from normal to outstanding and eyed the great progress of the society. During my childhood, the circumstance around my house was dirty and out of date. It was barely impossible for me to get a new toy, because there was no shopping mall in my neighborhood and the nearest one took us forty minutes to ride there. However, things are completely different now. It is the convenience brought by modern community utilities supports our daily life. For instance, people are able to have all kinds of food in the restaurant nearby their apartment, or even can order one on the internet. Due to the rapid growth of city, nothing appears to be unobtainable but only unimaginable.
On the other hand, generously speaking, a step forward of the whole word begins with the growth of cities. One of the merits of the rapid growth of cities is the economy, which enable human beings to have access to the comfortable modern life, resulting in more investment in science and technology. And the obvious benefit we have gain from the technological development is the microwave, which not only heat up the food faster, but also provide a smoke-free cooking environment. Therefore, the faster science and technology develop, the better our society is.
Of course, the rapid growth may have some negative impact on our society. As the world develops, clearly, people are forced to face the limitation of nature recourses and other disadvantages brought by development. Also, with the rapid development of science and technology, people are stimulated to meet the new demand of society and to handle more pressures.
However, I believe human beings can figure out measures to solve all problems in the way. And from what have been discussed above, it can be directly concluded that the rapid growth of cities in today's world is a mostly positive development for our society.
