The project is focused on developing new microfluidic platforms and molecular bioassays for quantitative single-cell analysis of cancer. Their applications to cancer pathology and clinical diagnostics will be pursued in collaboration with KU Medical Center. A recent Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, bioengineering or biomedical sciences is required. The applicants should have strong interest and expertise in one or several of the following fields: microfluidics, nucleic acid bioassays, gene expression analysis, and cell culture. The successful candidate is expected to be creative and self-motivated, work in a team, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
