题目:Agree of disagree. The food we ate in the past is healthier than the food today.
Currently,more and more attention has been paid on the issue of food. Lots of people claim that the food in the past is healthier than that in modern time. To large extent, however, I would cast on this assertion and reckon that it is ill-considered.
To begin with, I have to concede that the food in the past is healthy and benefical for our human beings, for the reason that the ancient people get the food from nature without excessive processing. As we know, the environment in the past was primitive, such as the air was fresh, the soil was fertile and the plant was prosperous. For these matters, the food people ate was pure and unpolluted.
But the conclusion that food we ate in the past is healthier than the food today is unreasonable. Under some circumstances, the modern food has its own advantages which the food in the past did not have. Here I will show you two advantages taht belongs to the modern food only.
Firstly, it is the variety and the considerable amount of the food today that lead us to much healthy and interesting lives. As the emergence of advanced transportation such as aireplane , train and car, people could break the limitation of area to have much more choices. For example, when you go to the supermarket to buy some fruits,you can choose all kinds of fruits such as oranges, banana, grape which from different of areas. However, in the ancient period, people just got the friutes which just grew in their living areas, which implys that their choices of food was limited. In this case, we can conclude that the views presented in this topic is narrow.
Secondly, as the development of society, people have more deeply understanding and analyses of all kinds of objects include the food we eat. Obviously, our understanding of food now is more deeper than that in the past. We could find the milk's chemical element by microscope and then ensure that whether it is benefical or harmful to our human beings. As we know , milk is rife with calcium, which contribute to the rapid growing of our bones. Consequently, the factory produce large numbers of milk in wich calucium is more eaily absored by people, and then citizens have strong body. Nevertheless, in the past time, without all kinds of technological equipment, we judge the quality of food by our subjective experience rather than scientific knowledge, which means their food-eating style were ineffective.
In brief, I stand against this assertion, the standpoint presented in this topic fails to objective. In modern time, the variety of food make citizens have more choies and the scientific understanding of food lead to healthy eating style,thouth, the food we ate in the past had its minor advanteges. |
