TPO One 自己修改了一下 Personally, I agree with the view that sports and social activities are as important as classes and libraries, and need to receive equal support, cause physical health is a significant prerequisite for mental health and communicating skills are very critical for people in working field. First and foremost, there is no doubt that the main responsibility of students is to acquire knowledge and skills as many as possible. Our physical health, however, also plays a vital role in studying. Everyone knows that there would be a lot of works needed to do if people wants to be successful in his own field, so a good body condition could support us to make it happen. And sport is an efficient way to make us healthy. For instance, many of us must have experienced a kind of period at the end of a semester, a plenty of subjects we need to review, many exams, presentations and papers for which we need to prepare. So it must be pitiful if our physical conditions are out of weather. At this point, doing some sports such as jogging and swimming would guarantee us a good body condition to handle a busy schedule. Moreover, some social activities such as volunteering programs and internships could improve communicating skill. More and more businesses require people who are not only specialists in their fields, but also skilled in social interaction. In the rapidly changing environments of science and economy, no task can be done by a single person. Given the need for collaboration, social skills and team spirit are necessary qualities for any successful person. Clearly sports and social activities provide students with such opportunity to practice their social skills. Students could learn to how to deal with people, speak to other and behave properly. Taking playing football games for example, students can develop a sense of belonging and experience team spirit, both of which may prove very important in building a career. Admittedly, at some points, classes and libraries are more important, compared to sports and social activities. On one hand, if a university is a comprehensive one, its board would pay more attention on the quality of classes and more capital would be assorted to libraries. On the other hand, if the university is a specific college, more money should be spent on sports’ facilities. Finally, both sports and social activities are ideal ways to relax. They allow students to put the burden down. Students are more likely to feel nervous when they are evolved into a busy time-schedule, while doing some sports or dating with friends is beneficial to rest brain that could in turns raise study-efficiency. To sum up, sports and social activities are closely related to the success of a person, they strong our bodies, practice communicating skills and have our brains to take a break, so they are deserved to acquire equal financial support. |
