个人觉得E主要改变句子意思，原句说although air怎么怎么样，而E说although carests and troughs是怎样形成的，另外E还是用了被动，更把原句的remain这样有含义的系动词扔了不好

个人觉得E主要改变句子意思，原句说although air怎么怎么样，而E说although carests and troughs是怎样形成的，另外E还是用了被动，更把原句的remain这样有含义的系动词扔了不好

在原句逻辑意思正确的情况下尽量保持，然后保持原有意思这一条不要用来优先判断

还不能到看简洁的问题上，因为remain是不能乱扔的词，例如 sth remain stationary一样东西保持不动跟 stationary sth不动的某东西，不是一个意思。

寻找be动词对应，剩下CE，比较。E选项with “XXXX”是更简洁，但是读起来不对，with后面飞出来一个although来转折，前面说的pattern，你既然以with打头，是不是少了个动词来呼应呢？
