Very good to hear from you! So first thing is first - whatever you decide to do - MBA or Masters you still need a higher GMAT. so I would suggest starting with that! Secondly, for the US the visa situation is similar for Masters or MBA, meaning you still have to participate in a lottery. the first step is to get sponsored, and there going to a good school helps.

In Canada things are a bit easier in that you can automatically stay and work if you have studied in Canada. Also the programs are easier to get into. the schools are not as famous or good as US schools, and salaries are a bit lower than in the US, too. So take that into consideration.

Anyhow, first do your test!
And then you can see where you want to apply after.

(But of course start your research already!

I really agree with your idea that higher GMAT is more helpful, and I will take the eaxm on 1.31.

我覺得樓主得現實點:
- 美國 + 讀business + 想留下工作
- 加拿大 + 不相關主修 + 這GPA + 想申master......

所以我看到的根本不是搞好TOEFL, GMAT這麼基本的事, 而是整個planning都得扔掉.....

(沒工作經驗就別夢MBA, 沒RA經驗又這GPA就別夢PhD
keep location constant的話, 感覺較合理的選擇是Ontario+MS+Engineering Management / Business Analytics.
前提估計是TOEFL到100, GMAT 上700 吧......但是我也很懷疑這個GPA夠不夠用.....)

P.S. 只是迷途知返是不夠的. 要讓別人都看到你返了的成果才是的. (要不就是對一直都努力的人不公平了)
