It took me quite some time to figure it out.

Should be:
Well, if it makes you fee better,

回答網友,用力聽出的。也回來貢獻一下。
Please provide the No. of the test next time. It could save some effort.

您誤會了, I didn't say the answer should be changed.
misses the important " if "

When Americans say " If this(or) it makes you feel any better," + a 2nd sentence.
They mean they wish the message they provide in the 2nd sentence would make the other person feel better.
