关于港中文IP，请教各位这是什么意思？

弱弱的问一下IP是什么意思：
刚刚到港中文大学看了他们的结果，发现我的号码后面写的是IP，对于这种状态的解释是：IP - Your application is being considered by the division responsible for the programme to which you have applied.
Enquiries on the progress can be made to the relevant divisions.
这是什么意思？是不是意思就是待定？相当于waiting list?
请教各位帮我解答下~
