请教几道语法题

偶不太清楚second的用法，哪位牛牛帮忙解释一下啊～

4. 偶还有一道题不太明白

A few species of mushrooms cause death or serious illness ___ .

A.      having eaten

B.      that they are eaten

C.      are eaten

D.     when eaten

选D。

是PP上的吧，应该说PP语法笔记上说的比较清楚了。D中transport 也是名词，也是交通方式的意思。这里是可以接受的。

序数词前面要加定冠词，所以这里要加the。

建议看看高分语法，置顶的资料指南贴有介绍、下载

先看句子结构。谓语是cause。这里eat肯定是针对marshroom的，肯定不是illness，所以用被动。而且是一个状语。A having eaten逻辑主语错误。B 这个定语从句中主语没有指代。C中缺主语、连接词。只有D，状语从句省略形式。符合要求。

建议还是要看看托福高分语法和PP语法笔记，以及历年语法笔记。在资料指南里面有介绍、下载

就是因为这个原因，所以偶才会问这个second的用法的。答案是D，因为这个错误比较明显，形容词的最高级；但second总感觉不太顺，还是看高分语法先～

就second来讲，楼主看看两个例子也许会悟出点什么：

She won second prize.

They climbed to second place in the League.

The euro will have a circulation second only to that of the dollar

（be second only to sth 是固定用法）

ETS原来喜欢放一些语法特殊情况在题里面啊，象peoples这种选项明明就是放在里面迷惑人的。看来以后这样的选项一定不错了
