People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. 两个问题:500多字太长了,怎么删节一些论证。我是否需要写三个分论点,多谢 Nowadays, the economy world is having a tough time. With the increasing unemployment rate, a large number of companies are forced to downsize and close many of their divisions or departments. Under such hard condition, attending college seems to be a wiser choice for students who just graduate from high school or working people who currently are not satisfied with their jobs. The most reasons why people attend to college, as far as my concerned, are that people can attain a better career preparation and have access to the knowledge needed in the real working world.
People who have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree have no doubt to get competitive advantages to find a decent job compared to people who only have high school certificate. It always happens to the one that a bachelor’s degree is a mandatory requirement for a nice job. You will never fail to waste your four-year college life considering your college degree helps you open the front door of the real world, you aren’t sure what you’ve learned through your college life though. In addition, colleges do help you prepare for your career life. There are plenty of workshop and fairs such as resume workshop, mock interviews, business career fairs and minority career fairs. Whether what you learn from those workshop can be applied to your future work, you can always get basic sense of what resume and interview look like, which definitely works for you. Therefore, attending college does provide sufficient career preparations for people.
On the other hand, people learn the knowledge especially technical skills and practical applications by attending college. People are probably not fit for jobs such as a chemical engineer or an actuary if they don’t go to college to receive education. Although people receive well-rounded education in high school, high school education is short of courses targeting expertise fields. What people learn from high school is relatively fundamental knowledge, which only knocks on the door of science. People still need to get further training and education if they want to get relatively high-tech work. Thus, colleges are waiting for those people with abundant programs suitable for various career track. For example, if the one is intended to be a doctor in the future, he or she would better major in chemistry or biology of which programs offer great opportunities for those students who are willing to go to medical schools. Consequently, attending college helps people be expert in specific fields.
Although some people doubt whether what we learn from colleges is not practical and may lack of connections to the practice, it is also true that directly going to work after graduate from high school means be deficient in education so that have less chances to be promoted and earn relative higher income. Seen from reasoning above, people attend college because of good preparations for future career and great programs for enhancing knowledge levels. |
