速度还算可以,但还是没来得及兼顾反面论证。

Van Gogh lived in a time, when other treated him like a nerd as well as eccentric because of his seemingly unreasonable mind at that time. Nobody cared about him so that he was left to a miserable death, which was discovered weeks later. However, we should notice that the point isn’t how grim people might be, but how depressed people with unacceptable ideas could be rendered. No one could deny that works of Van Gogh have not been thoroughly understood thus far, let alone hundreds of years before. Thus the issue may be put forward based on this line of reasoning. However, is it true that all the greatness of individuals must be determined by those who live after them rather than their contemporaries?
Admittedly, the number of people like Van Gogh is never decreasing. They desire to be heard about their advanced ideas while they depreciate the present popularity of the public. That could result in a paradox, one that people like Van Gogh are not willing to cause but they did potentially. There’ s no denying that great ideas have been challenged as well as defied since the day they came into being. Take Steve Jobs into account, we may find that his possession of new ideas always annoy other people, especially his co-workers, albeit he proves to be successful time and again. Since he foresees longer and more effectively than others combined, the gap between the populace and him is sure to be enlarged with the time passing by. Recently, President Obama has written a blog mentioning one of Steve’s feats: people got to know his death upon his own creation, and this creation has resulted in a cortex all over the world just four years ago. From this point, that a person with intricate as well as innovative mind could not be fully understood by contemporaries is apparent.
Moreover, People who live after the great ones might have a more comprehensive aspect of judging their feats. They might be able to break the bonds existing in the past but disappear with the advancement of society. In this light, people may have no obstacles to appraise the feats by the great ones. When we look back at the example of Van Gogh, we could conclude that the main reason for his wretched life is his incompatible mind with the world he lived in. Had he grasped a normal way of communicating with other people, he would have leaded a more felicitous life.
Besides, there exist some people secluded from other people by the authorities because they have impinged the authorities’ power. For instance, the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, is aiming at expose the scandals of governments as well as other institutions with ugly dealings behind them. The power of the governments are certainly sufficient to make the populace ignorant of people like Julian, thereby making him unknown to some extent. In this case, contemporaries are not likely to even get to know him unless in the future when limits by governments are somewhat loose.
In retrospect, there could be a number of interpretations about the reasons of ignorance of the greatness by contemporaries, in which case the reasons cannot be simply attributed to the populace being naïve or solely governments’ coercion. In effect, we ought to reflect about that multi-dimensionally. After all, it remains a herculean task primarily for the great people to keep on fighting in their world while letting the populace understand the meaning of their fight. Only then could people understand each other better so as to build a thriving world together.

呵呵毕竟是我的两个偶像啊,要举例太容易了。但愿ETS看到我这么一边倒的论述不会觉得思维不周,只是确实是没时间了。
