1.A:you know Tim has been acting really funny lately ever since he won that tennis tournament last week and got photographed in the local paper. Well, he's kind of changed, like it's hard to talk to him now.

B:yeah, i know what you mean. i guess it's all gone to his head.

答案说B的意思是he think he's more important than he is.

2.A: i can't decided whether i should take physics now or wait till next semester.

B:you might as well get it over with if you can.

get over with??

3.i was hoping she'd be able to help out with course registrations next week.

4.A:i have never seen a larger collection of this author's books than the one here in this labrary. it's impressive how many she managed to write in her lifetime.

B: yeah. actually a lot more than even this collection would suggest.

B imply that many of the author's books aren't included in the library's collection.

5.i've already put my prize money aside to cover the increase my landlord just announced for next year.

6.A: you know, we never went over chapter 16 in class. what do you think the odds are that Dr. Bomb will include it on the test?

B:he's been known to do things like that. so i wouldn't put it past him.

put it past him什么意思啊?

1.  I guess it's all gone to his head.

2. you might as well get it over with if you can. 我想是get it+over with的结构,over with 是美国口语,做(完)的意思。

3. help out=help

4. B的意思是this author's books are actually a lot more than even this collection would suggest.

难不成students是地主家的长工~增加的是rent,其实就是cover the increase (increase做名词,指代△rent)that my landlord just announced,后面的是个从句。
