OG解释里面有一条说到主谓关系，说主语inventories不能够接leads，但是个人理解本句主语应该是
Rising inventories，动名词做主语，望指正。

不能够接leads是单复数的关系
而且rising inventories也不叫动名词
类似skiing这种才叫动名词。上面的只能叫名词短语

感觉E句意最清晰， correspondingly感觉没有corresponding爽，如果你不能判断leads和can lead 你就判断别的句子之间的差异点，GWD教的

不能够接leads是单复数的关系
而且rising inventories也不叫动名词

呵呵，我也跟GWD学过， correspondling的确能区分，可是在联系中我还是想把这些点都弄明白，谢谢。

lead貌似只能由人或物做主语，我看了一些lead的例句，没发现Rising inventories这类做主语的，要不你在再看看词典？

我不知道你所说的物指的是什么
rising inventories也是物啊，只不过是有修饰的物
有修饰是为了更加清楚的表述是增长的存货，而不是存货本身，也不是存货的增长造成了后面的结果

关于名词性修饰语用单数和复数
只看核心词就可以了吧，inventories很明显是名词，所以用复数

我觉得rising inventories 是指行为，不是物，所以后面不能接动词lead

个人感觉courtdancer同学的解释和OG是一个路子，rising inventories相当于一个偏正短语，核心词还是inventories. 谢谢大家。

LZ可以这样理解：
rising看做形容词修饰inventories， adj+n. 结构。翻译成‘上涨的存货’

要是把rising换成raising的话，后面就可以接leads了，翻译成‘增加存货’
rise不及物的，不能直接接n.

但是这题我不是很明白
would的存在，would应该作为will的过去式解释。所以这句话是虚拟语气么？？
