Seattle is a beautiful place and if you like hiking or camping, it is the best choice. but you may not like the weather here. after you coming here, it is the raining season, no sunshine for almost half a year. the in summer, you can enjoy the BBQ on the beach.

about the TA or scholarship, it is very hard. here is a very tough example. a mba student who was living in our building got a TA position, but then lost it. acturally, beacuse of the budget cut, my husband, who is a phd student here, must take extra burden than before. so, guess what? at last, my husband was the teaching assistant at that quarter. but as you know, the u needn't pay extra money to my husband. sigh!!

i have checked the compensation after mba graduation. the amount is relatively lower, compared with most of the tier 2 schools. however the living cost there seems to be quite high given the location of the school.

anyone knows why?

i almost drop this option with little chance to get scholarship and assistantship

you may know that boeing and microsoft are both located in this area. because of the economic situation in usa, a lot of person got fired especially who were working in these two super company. but this will make the situation worse. i think maybe this is part of the reason that mba graduation from uw are difficult to get high compensation.

on the other hand, about the living expence, this is truth, no reason.

读MBA还是有奖学金的，只是没有PHD那么多。有的学校在奖学金方面还是比较大方的呢。
