纠结ing！！UCriverside MBA VS IIT MSMKT VS University of Missouri-Columbia MBA

下个礼拜就要回复！
IIT我申请的那个项目不是MBA的，是MS of marketing communication，其他两个也是MBA mkt方向
但是总觉得还是MBA在美国找工作比较容易，UCR一年6W多，虽然给了2W奖，总感觉国内评价不太好呢，而且学校挺新的，好像商学院建院没多长时间，是不是不太成熟？
相对来说，MU-Columbia的MBA 在全美排名是还行，可是地点不是特别的好，我想毕业之后争取留在美国工作，所以是不是学校的地点挺重要的呢？

Well I am very partial to MBA programs for sure. I don’t know how much value you will get (certainly in the US, and most likely abroad) from the MS of Marketing Communications. I mean, lets be realistic—what is that degree? Why not get an MBA? I don’t understand it, and neither would many employers. So…that leaves the two MBA programs you have listed. I would consider GEOGRAPHY in this case. Do you want to be in the Midwest? Are you open to living in Chicago, for example? Or in Saint Louis? Both good cities, but a bit…quieter than LA, San Diego etc. If you like the idea of the Midwest, then consider Missouri. If you want to perhaps be on the west coast, checking out California, living in the big city, then consider the UC school. Both are comparable from an education perspective, so look to geography. Does that make your decision any clearer?

I guess Jon as a Harvard MBA would know very little about the difference between UCR and MU programs..

Hey there. Yes, you are 100% correct, that Missouri has a better academic reputation. But…not by a whole lot. Think about geography here—if you wanna be in LA especially, consider Riverside. If you are open to the east coast, the Midwest…then Missouri’s reputation will get you farther. Let me put it to you differently—if you DON’T want to stay in Southern California, then there isn’t a very good reason to go to UC Riverside. Make sense my friend? Hope so—and good luck!
