The University of Texas at Dallas is firmly committed to the protection of students' privacy and personal information. As a result, UT Dallas has implemented a secure process for students to access Orion, the University's student information system, using your NetID.
To obtain your permanent NetID and password visit netid.utdallas.edu and follow these simple steps:
Click on the Setup a new UTD computer account link located in the middle
of the page.
Enter your UTD-ID and your date of birth.
Click Submit and follow the remaining prompts to set up your password and security questions.
With your newly created NetID and password, you can now check your application status at utdallas.edu/orion. It may take up to two business days for your account to be activated. You can also use this secure site to verify your address, email and telephone number.
