我看到两个答案C、D，到底是选哪个？为什么呢

果断C啊
首先economy当然是continues strong，继续增长。什么叫continued strength，已经增长过的？这个用法很歧义
其次，have been predicting for weeks，几周来一直在预测？预测不是一个持续性的动作，果断排除

我做题时也选C，看到一个选D的解释说，continue strong 用法错误应为continue strongly, would 可省略，而且它选D的解释是Predict…that+S be raised表假設法.？不懂？

economy’s continued strength 这种用法awkward and imprecise, continued strength感觉也说不通
这句子估计是有前后文的，通过原文看把后半部分改成一般现在时好像没有问题。估计前后文有别的背景表明predict的动作是在过去发生的。

如果是出于effectiveness而不是correction来考虑的话也是C比D要好，既然有了because加句子为什么还要用due to
