我选了B。正确答案是C
C难道不会太wordy嘛? 不过B我现在一读也是明显错误。。但是C为什么是最好的说法呢？谢谢啦~~~

that就可以排除DE了；
A中的42 times不完整，42 times什么，看看CDE中42times怎么用的；
B好像被比较了42次，感觉很诡异

这个貌似prep笔记上有.其实是earn的宾语作比较,然后同位语the ratio修饰宾语的比较部分.
宾语是419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, 宾语的比较部分是42 times their pay.
