以往因为纽约太近,所以学校觉得没有必要,但是今年为了加大placement力度,jet飞到纽约去接送 Cornell的student managed fund不仅规模巨大15million,每年都超出市场表现,也是独一无二啊。 Johnson School Strengthens Employer Access to Leading MBA TalentFebruary 19, 2009 | Ithaca, NY | In response to the deepening economic crisis, The Johnson School at Cornell University is expanding its annual "Just About Jobs" events to include New York City along with traditional sites in Boston and San Francisco. "In a market where companies are cutting recruiting budgets, this event provides an economical way for companies to engage with leading MBA candidates," commented Karin Ash, director of the Career management Center. "Companies participate at no cost and can interview for full-time or summer internship positions. MBA students face a tough employment market and we are doing everything we can to connect our students with employers. "Just About Jobs" began in 2003 as an event that flew employers into Ithaca, NY and has evolved into a convenient way for employers in New England, the Pacific Northwest, and New York City regions to fill their MBA hiring needs without leaving their areas. Recruiters work with the Johnson School's Career Management Center to review resumes and set up interview schedules for interested MBA job applicants. The events are an opportunity for firms to conveniently meet their just-in-time hiring needs outside the standard MBA recruiting process. "Just About Jobs" events will take place in Boston on February 20, in San Francisco on March 19, and in New York City on March 27. In total the Johnson School expects to bring over 100 students to these three events to conduct over 140 interviews. To participate in an event in your area, contact Kim Alexander, Associate Director for Employer Outreach at (607) 255-0350.
