以下是引用清清小蚂蚁在2006-8-27 13:17:00的发言:105. An inventory equal to 90 days sales is as much as even the strongest businesses carry, and then only as a way to anticipate higher prices or ensure against shortages. (A) as much as even (B) so much as even (C) even so much as (D) even as much that (E) even so much that 问题: 1 既然大家都认为inventory是不可数名词。为什么前面可以加上an? 2,AND THEN和前面的什么平行,省略的是什么?? 3 the strongest businesses 为什么 businesses 是复数??? 4 as much as 因为much 是名词,所以后面的carry是不是也应该是名词呢,为什么大家都说是动词?? 我认为是名词,后面省略了IS,补上应该是:An inventory equal to 90 days sales is as much as even the strongest businesses carry is 1. I think inventory is a coutable noun. I don't know why other people think it is a mass noun. 2. and then parallels with the main clause, what omitted is "the inventory is". 3. business is also a countable noun, both businesses and business are okay here. 4. carry is a verb here. What is being compared is "inventory", the complete sentence is "An inventory equal to 90 days sales is as much as (the inventory) even the strongest businesses carry" |
