D用的 giving compensation to，不如A的compensating来得简洁，你可以读读，感受一下。

另外，damage to和the damage of，两个里，也是前者比较好，至于原因，表达不出来了。。。

另外，上面红字的那个IT应该是多余的吧，否则也称不了答案。如果去掉的话，坚决选C。表达也比较清晰啊。
