First of all, there were previous reports where people were acceptted after on-line status change on the D-day.

Second of all, Chicago is a school among the elite with relatively low yield (reflected by their high acceptance rate among WL people. It is my impression, please don't quote me), so depending on what your status is tomorrow, there is still a good shot of getting in from WL.

I agree that "keep the hope alive =) " is the right attitude.
