"Thank you for your request for an off-campus interview. As you may know, alumni of the Chicago GSB usually conduct our off-campus interviews. We are unable to find an alumnus to interview you, and we have reached our capacity to offer phone interviews. Therefore we are waiving your interview without penalty. We will make note in your application that you asked for an interview and that we were not able to provide someone with whom you could meet.

lease be assured that this situation will not in any way have a negative affect on your application. We admit many applicants without an interview."

Is it a bad news? What suggestion do you have?

nothing bad. don't worry. no interview is much better than a bad alumni interview.
