关于作文格式细节和字数的问题(2.8号考试,急!!!)

本人最近在练作文,听前辈的话,先在写字版里打,然后再粘到WORD里,我的问题是,象句号后要有空格这种WORD里的格式要求,考试时有没有关系啊??
还有关于字数的问题,虽然我的作文质量不高,但是字数每次都能写的挺多.最少也得450以上,今天就写了一个520的...
我看了下前辈们的好文,似乎都没有这么多啊.... 大家基本都是350左右,我的问题是,我不知道该怎么写精了,举个例子,就这么多了啊....

Teacher is the most important position of our society. Their job is to educate our children; teachers are the builder of our society. However, there is a discussion about teacher. Should teachers go back to college every five years to improve themselves? In my opinion, I think teachers should go back to college for improving themselves, because two reasons.
  The most importantly reason is that our time change quickly nowadays which means a lots of new technology might appear in a short period time. Students need to learn all the new technology in school. That means teachers must to improve themselves in order to catch up the society so that they can always offer students best education. For example, the appearance of computer changes people's lives. Leading us step to a information age. The computer is really good for student studying to search more information or calculate some data .However, but because computer is a new technology, some old teachers might don't know how to use it. So they can't take advantage of the computer to their education. That is a lost for student. So, teachers should go back to college every five years in order to improve themselves catching up with pace of society.
  Another reason is the different between the young people and the old teachers. When some old teacher getting old, they might have a age gap with their student, they can't understand each other very much. And that is a big problem, because the education should based on communication and understanding. For instance, one of my high school teacher, he is a really old teacher who doing very well in the physics teaching. However, just because he is too old that he can't understand our thoughts. We get lots misunderstandings. Students don't like him at all. We think he is old-fashioned, he can't teach us some real things which we really want to know. So, teachers should go back to colleges every five years in order to know more about young people's mind. So they can communicate with students more fluently.
  Well, some people might think that teachers are too busy to go back to college for 1 year or even more. That will influence their students study. I do not agree with this point. In my opinion, the absent of a teacher for 1 years is not a major problem. It is a lot better than they can't afford students demanding. Even teach them some old-fashioned stuff that just can be bad for students. For example, hundred years ago, the teachers of old China, they didn't know anything about the new world, they still teach their students some old stuff. That weakens China for more than 50 years! From this case, we can know that teachers must have the ability to teach lately knowledge to their students which means they must go back to college in order to improve themselves.
  In a word, not only for the teacher's ability, but also for the students study, even the future of a country. Teachers should go back to college every period time in order to improve the quality of education.
