WHARTON LAUDER 那篇CULTURE SHOCK 的ESSAY应该怎么写啊! 我小学就在美国上, 根本没有NORTH AMERICAN SHOCK. ESSAY里面又有写中国的KNOWLEDGE多么多么强, 也不能写CHINA SHOCK. 我到底要怎么SHOCK啊!!!! 1000字, 根本不可能! 我哭! 有SAMPLE ESSAY吗, 拜托给几个, IDEA也行, 拜托啦, 不然我要死啦!!!!!!!!!

为什么一定要写国际的culture shock? 只要觉得文化上有差异就可以。比如北方人到南方，内地人到沿海，都会有culture shock。就连美国这种哪哪都差不多的地方，人家都能从写出很好的差异，其实就是到了另一个州遇到跟自己家乡不同的东西。65 successful hardvard MBA application essays里面就有这样的文章。

BTW, "我小学就在美国上" - BSO, 鉴定完毕。嘿嘿

进入一个新公司,进入一个新社区,进入一个新的朋友圈子,碰到不同理想,宗教,出身的朋友于是有不同的见解,都可以算culture shock的咯.

1000字可以写狂多东西了,安心拉.

另外,没有人逼你去申请MBA咯,也从来没有听说过写文章写死的,如果你觉的不爽,就换生活方式咯.抱怨没有意义的拉!

其实lz仔细想想，你肯定遇到过自己以前没有碰到的想法或者做法，这都是culture shock。这个shock不见得非得多么戏剧化，关键是要把 *你自己* 的想法和做法活灵活现的写出来。因为读者（admission committee）关心的并不是这个shock本身，而是 *你*。

其实写所有essay的目的不都是这样嘛 - 表现出来你是什么样的人，有没有潜力对付将来的挑战，是不是具备MBA所要求的个人能力。至于你具体做过什么事，仅仅只是参考而已；只有你当时的反应，想法，做法，还有怎么样吸取的经验教训，这才是关键的。

Did you ever visit China recently? What the difference between the China which your parent told you when you was a kid (may be a story of your family, parent, or grandparents or just a family photo) and the China you visited recently (another story -see below)? You are an American kid. So you have a culture shock.

From American culture perspective, why do you think that Chinese peoples can manage to go through so many challeges from one of the poorest nations into an economic giant in the world? Do you find any shining spot which reflects a culture different than American one? Maybe your grandparents are still working very hard after retired age. Maybe your cousin who eagerly asked you about outside world? Maybe your neighbor's stories. Frankly, for any Chinese students, so many stories can be told because the rapid change of China.

How these two stories influence you as a person and your career goal?
