IS PROGRESS ALWAYS GOOD?

In the past decades,our society has developed at an amazing speed that it even shows no sign of ceasing to emerge. Thus, some of us raise a debate which has already come to a vogue that:Is progress always good? Those greedy guys who concentrate on increasing GDP must give the anwser yes.But, how far is this true,at the same time, left to the judgment of individual's intelligence.Personally, I committed the notion that, progress does make sense sometimes,however,is not a "always".

      My mum had told me a lot about the sweet memory about the childhood during her times,in which,my country was still in a tough condition.They don't always have delicious food as we can easily get now,even an egg.It's said that this lovely "ball" is solely available at their birthday.Fashion clothes,furthermore, is something that appears in their dreams and envision.But,they feel happiness during those simple games created by their own,where as now,we've got all the things they didn't have and unfortunately,we loss our primary happiness.
Then,a question came up to our mind:What's happened to us? Definitely,we get more real substance and this in turn inspire more desire and more fierce competition among peers.This leads pressure for sure,and sometimes even psycological problem appears to bother us.

       Admittedly,in terms of environmental impact,progress brings about undeniable pollution to our city dwellers and nature.Industrialization can not be solid in our life without a great emission of green house effect gases.Although, we are now on the road of looking for new power resource,it's hard for us to decrease the air pollution in a short time.I find no better illustration of the example that Kyoto Protocol had already limited the amount of every country's emission standards.According to statistic report from Britain, it didn't makes any big difference.It's just an agreement and via the perspective of life cycle assessment,some countries maybe decrease their emission of green house gases in order to be under the protocol and push the pollution pressure towards other fields.

       What's more? Laziness occurs more frequently than it was in the past.Since the a mariyd of progresses human have made in machine, an unseen health problem began to emerge with more and more people.Remember the disease of SARS? You may think that it's only the virus to blame while I claim that this is not the whole story. If people have a stronger ability to immune to this disease,tragedy may not be that sad.

       It's sure that some economists will stand up to proclaim that all the points I 've made above didn't catch up to the tide of flying economy development.But, I believe, on no account should we ignore environment and the internal feelings about our life.In addition,this doesn't mean that we should put our progress to the end.It just requires some thinking before we want some progressive actions on a specific field.
