old v.s. ancient:

OLD, ANCIENTmean having come into existence or use in the more or less distant past.

ANCIENT applies to occurrence, existence, or use in or survival from the distant past *ancient accounts of dragons*.

说白了就是当old做年代讲时，年代久远程度不同

staff v.s. staffing

staff (n.) : 在此处应该取worker的含义，即the people who work for an organization

做这个意思讲的时候，主要用法如下：

staff of 10/50 etc

Our department has a staff of seven.

medical/academic/library etc staff
            

a strike by ambulance staffone of our longest-serving staff members

on the staff (of something)
We were both on the staff of the British Film Institute at the time.
on staff
Joan is the only lawyer we have on staff.

staff (v.)的意思是to be or provide the workers for an organization

staffing是其名词形式。

不过staff和staffing那题，答案是选staffing啊，所以才觉得奇怪。。。

另外第4题我想了一下，应该是be necessary for sb to do sth吧，所以A错了；第5题是一个平行结构，前面是一种动作，后面应该也应该是动作才对，所以选B。

现在主要是第2和第6题不明白了，还请牛牛们指教！
