GPA低不要害怕。。

GPA低， 但是也不要对申请top MBA 学院灰心。我是一个刚要著手预备读MBA的一个女子， 自言没有QUALITY去说GPA低， TOP MBA一定收。 但， 我只是想要说说个人对自己GPA 只有1。7， 也给AUS 雀巢HEADQUARTER EMPLOY 的经验。(Chance:1/5000)

那个时候， 我刚刚GRADUATE FROM UNI, APPLY TO NESTLE FOR A GRADUATE POSITION, 招俜对像是全国的毕业生。 我想虽然没有希望。 But you never know unless you try.

When they offer me the position, they told me there is more than 5000 students compete with me when I applied to their company. I was the only one employed by them.

The process i had pass through: 

 Send my interview with all the essay questions and optional essay they requried.

Three phone interview, at that time I was in Melbourne and the company is in Sydney. (500/5000)

Followed by an face interview with two manager and one executive in sudney. (5/500)

Then is a 4 hour exam , verbal and math. ( I'm a international student cmpete with 4 locals: Chance 1/5)

followed by a last interview with the same manager and one executive again.(1/5)

After I accept the offer, they told me they do not really care about your academic score. They mroe concern with what you had done through during your UNI life, your soft skills.

My double degree cost me 4 years. But my parent can't afford my living expenses. So, I squeeze all the Lecture and tutorial into two days 8-10pm and I work in for the rest of the week.

I finished my double degrees in three years time non stop, no winter and no summer holiday.

During my university life, I worked as a supervisor in a stationery company. I also participated in school leaders program. Plus I had granted and exchange to italy for two months.

By the time I graduate I was 22 and I already have 5 years full time experience.

The main things they care about you is how to handle all these things and how to portorize your work and among a team, your soft skills.

They also care about wheather you can present yourself to to others.

I do a well research for the company, deep and throughly.

I can say that I'm so confident in my interview.

The reason I say this is. Yes, GPA is ssssssosososoososo low. But don't be afraid. It's not the matter of weather your score is low,It's the matter of your effort.

Did you put a good effort in your interview? The preparation of the application? the Preparation of your GMAT exams.

Work hard and I"m sure you will be reward for.

My goal is HBS in 2009. My first pority is to finish my CPA exams in 1.5 years. That is mid 2007. Wish me luck.

I don't want to frustrate you.

I believe it happens in Australia. I worked for a consulting co. in Sydney, after I completed master degree with high distinction. I know that many "top" level engineers in Australia have only bachelor degree and even no degree. It is AUSTRALIA! I have a friend who works as a manager at headquarter of national bank, au. He does not have a degree.

I don't think it is the case in states. I know people offered degree by prestigious universities here either from a very good university somewhere or has very good academic record.

I believe you still have chance, but you have to work harder than those who have high GPA.

I believe lz gets low gpa for a reason. She finished her double degree in three years and have to work at the same time,not mentioning her other activities. I think lz has done a great job accomplishing all these.

Low GPA is a disadvantage but what lz has achieved is more than enough to compensate for her low GPA.

lz will get what she wants given her attitude and ability!~

I admire the efforts you have made.

I think you have a great chance to be enrolled by the HBS since u have won a good job.

U are really a role model for many people in terms of hard-working.

What's more, u have a strong confidence to get into the TOP MBAs.
