首先看是誰imitating，應該是人才是做模仿這件事的人，所以排除ABC

in that表因為，也就是進一步說明前一句話

ranged 跟 recomposed 須平衡所以必須是過去式形態

而flattening out the melodic contours of tunes之所以是ing形式是因為就句意而言是進一步說明ranged freely over the beat這句話

同意。补充一下：

C，like是介词，后面不能跟句子，即：like musicians played instruments是错的

E，两个分词结构不对，不能和后面的recomposed并列。如果要表示和前面分词的并列，flattening前缺少and。另外，musicians

Instruments 不对，应该是musicians‘
            Instruments吧。
