OG上面只说in that是largely gone out of use，又没说一定不能用。
再说CE的错误很明显啊，like一个介词怎么能接句子呢？它只能接名词啊。

关键是选了D也读不懂这句话什么意思。。。GMAC现在也就靠这个来恶心中国人了，句子都读不懂，鬼知道什么平行因果转折。还好ABCE都错的明显，也算厚道

平行不对应这种明显错误确实就把E给排除了。。。虽然我也选错了。。。

我也选错了
这道题我总结考点有以下几个：
1、主语一致：imitate是主动形式，因此（根据句意）主语只能是人，AB错
2、like的用法：like是prep，后面只能跟n，而不能是句子，C错
3、平衡：“and，in effect，”中的and前后分句时态应一致，（flatten的那个句子对前句补充说明，分析的时候可以直接忽略不看）即range应该和recompose时态一致，CE错

最讨厌一个句子里面N多个逗号神马的常常尼玛看结构都要看半天，巴特，逗号多的时候有一个好处，就是看清那些是补足成份之后，可以直接忽略越过不看
