请教:关于STANFORD网申中的几个问题

在申请STANFORD的过程中,我出现了3个理解的不是很明确的地方,特此向知道的前辈们请教,请前辈们指点迷津!谢谢!

1,关于填写TESTING INFORMATION中的问题,它出现Listenint, speaking, reading, writing让我们填写（见如下表格），但是没有语法这块让我填写的，因为我是２００５年８月考的，是笔考，没有SPEAKING.而且它那块WRITING那里,如果我填入了4.0, 它会提示如下:

TOEFL Writing

A numeric value is required.

所以我觉得很奇怪,我只能把4.0改成4,那我想如果别人考了个4.5分，那怎么办?所以我想,我的理解肯定有误,所以请高手指教.

2,我想问下关于STANFORD上面的GPA的填写的,它上面有这么一段话:

If your school uses a 4-point system, please state your 4-year undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) for each year and a cumulative average of all years attended. (A=4.00, B=3.00, C=2.00, D=1.00)

If you attended a school that uses a different numeric grading system, you may include grade point averages (GPA) in the Additional Information section.

看了上面一段话,我的理解是如果是学校是4-point system的，那么就把相应的值填进去,如果不是,就请自己算出,并在Additional Information section中写出.请问,我的理解正确吗?

3,请看以下关于语言能力的问题,下面这段话我的理解是不包括英语的,但是为什么在选择选项的时候可以选择英语呢?请问大家是怎么理解的

能确定Q1吗?

我也有点怀疑是说语法.但是让填作文成绩,又有点不太可能,因为不能填4.0等有小数点的．谁能确定呢？
