建立CBSF全面信息库的建议

鉴于对MBA中国学生就业数据的了解和加强CBSF间联系的迫切要求，我建议，从我们开始，从现在开始，建立全面而广泛的信息网，为今后的学弟学妹建立一个完整的数据库并提供职业指导，也为我们今后建立良好的职业发展关系：

姓名（学校、联系方式） －－ MBA前工作单位、工作种类 －－ INTERN公司名、工作种类 －－ FT公司名、工作种类

建议成立专门的小组负责数据的搜集、维护和管理工作。所有在此数据库内注册登记的MBA可以访问该库，同时制定相应政策以避免数据的滥用和被盗用。

构思是很好的!

但是会涉及到个人隐私吧？很多人是不愿意将这些很详细的信息发布在网上!

同意JET考虑隐私问题，有付出就有回报，我相信这对于每个愿意将自己信息贡献出来的朋友都是互惠互利的，在乎个人的考虑，不作强求。如果不将自己信息登录上，那么他、她也应该没有获取别人信息的权力。

第二，这涉及到管理数据的问题，欢迎大家来讨论，如何制定公平合理的制度来保证数据的真实性和安全性。

我看过MICHIGAN的校友网，基本思路和这个一致，我也看到了很多中国校友的详细名单。

关于具体数据的内容，大家可以讨论，再由推选出的管理小组最后决定。

比如MICHIGAN的中国校友名单中有：

姓名、学年、联系方法、现在的工作单位和职位。

其实简单来说，这项工作的大部分内容就是把现在分散在CD的各个B School meeting room的数据作了一个整合，汉江水融入长江水而已。但取得的效果却是将星散的游击小分队组合成了百万雄师啊！

It is a good suggestion. However, a strict screening process is required to at least try to eliminate any kind of false information. Without this process, I can just tell you i am a HBS graduate, working as a managing director in Morgan Stanley's NYC headquarter.

Michigan has this kind of data base because they can confirm the accuracy and  actuality of their student body. And they collect $40000 from you each year to do that.

yup, you got a good point! and that's why i suggest setting up a Management Committee , as well as a fair policy, to make sure the accuracy and safety of the data.

I heard you. But how this commitee can verify all the information?

A possible way to solve this problem is to collect data from each school's admission. A current student can obtain data from his/her school. This data we know has been verified by the school. And once we have data collected from each school, we can have a more comprehensive database for CBSF.

Two catches here:

1. The permission from each school mut be obtained before the data from this specific school is being used.

2. Students whose names are to be disclosed must be informed, and approval must be obtained before issued.

Of course, the data base is only being shared by the group members.

And also, i want to mention the over 900 CBSF members right now with CD, whom we can invite to join us, considering the difficulty in colleting data directly from individual schools at such a beginning phrase of the project as we are at now.

Even though members can't get benefits for the moment, they will, in the long-run, as they did from the alumni network at their own Business schools.

A good idea, actually we don't need to disclose sensitive information like name and contacts by default. Three levels of access permission could be considered -

1. Statistical, people could get information from data perspective like how many applicants from each region, and what's the average G/T score for a specific program

2. Anonymous, raw data would be available for further analysis, without sensitive information disclosed

3. Full, must be used with extra care, requests for such information must be approved by the individuals in a case by case manner

For verification, we could assign representitives for each school / class who would do the consolidation and input for his / her own school
