这是一种化学反映，也就是说被传染病传染的时候，实际上体内在有某中东西产生着抗体抵抗着这些病原体。不过，我觉得这题没有必要从这个角度理解题，否则挺费劲的。这题主要是从简洁性上考虑。sb's trying that/to do sth显然比sb's attempt to do累赘, attempt to try重复。
