Snow_moutain JJ 看过来--Sweetstar的作文练习(每天一篇不间断)

借鉴了不少范文和魔板,绝非原创,。请批判。

4.It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

Books and experience are the main two channels for people to gain their knowledge. Which source is more important? Different people hold different views due to their distinct backgrounds. As far as I am concerned, both books and experience are playing an important role in our learning process. However, if I were asked to choose only one of them, I would probably follow that knowledge from experience is more important than that from books.

Experience first can prove if the knowledge form books are true or false. There is an old Chinese saying that practice is the only criterion of inspecting the truth. So not all the knowledge from books is credible, sometimes that is even false. A good example may be found in the case that the Aristotle’s theory that the earth is the centre of our planet was not challenged for centuries until Galileo made some observation and research. Then the new theory of sun center theory came out. Therefore, it is obvious that practice knowledge check out the theories gained from books.

Experience is also a very important supplement to knowledge from books. As the above quote “Not everything that is learned is contained in books”, I agree that we can’t learn everything from a book. Experience is the best teacher. For instance, we can not learn how to swim unless we jump into the water. Besides, the most important, and sometimes the hardest, lessons we learn in life come from our participation in situation. We cannot learn emotional feelings, such as love and care through books. They come from our real life experience.

To oppose my view, you might point out that knowledge from the books is instructive and systematic. To be honest, I confess that knowledge from books is important. However, when the advantages and disadvantages are carefully considered, we can see the experience is more important than the book as the source of the knowledge source.

In the final analysis, due to the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can arrive at the conclusion that knowledge from the experience is more important than that from the book, although each of them are playing a different role.

这段写的不好,感觉有点牵强,阐述得不清楚。

其他都不错。

谢谢snow_mountation,我重新写了这一段,再给看看

[Admittedly, books are the indispensable source for the knowledge acquisition, which provide us knowledge in the systematic and theoretical way. However, all the knowledge on the books comes from and goes to practice and theory. Hence, compared with the knowledge from experience, that from books is less important]

每篇都要写多过2个小时,怎么办呢?让步段怎么处理呢?

No2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers.

Who are the best teachers in our life? Different people hold different views due to their distinct backgrounds. As far as I am concerned, both parents and schoolteachers are very important in our life. If I were asked to choose one of them, I would probably say that parents are the best of all the teachers.

The main reason for my view is that parents are the first teachers in our life. Their role is indispensable. It is parents who teach us to walk the first step and to say the first word. As we all know, childhood is very crucial in personality development. During the childhood, parents who are holding the teachers positions at the same time, influence us greatly from the daily habits to the attitudes towards the life. Nobody can claim that his character is formed without his parents influence.

Furthermore, parents are the most dedicated teachers. They are available 365 days per year, 7 days per week and 24 hours per day. As long as we reach them, they are always there with us. In addition, parents teach us everything they know without any reservations. They are the only teacher who can teach various subjects both in academic and in emotional areas. Taking my parents as an example, I have never been rejected by them when I ask for advice even if once I called them at midnight from abroad. Besides, the lessons from my parents on my life journey are various, to name a few, cooking, knitting, even dating.

Admittedly, at the professional level, parents may be not competent as the schoolteachers. Some parents may not as knowledgeable as schoolteachers. Some parents’ teaching method may not be as scientific as that from the school. However, at emotional level, parents are the best teachers in our life. Just as the sayingThere is no place like home.” , I think there is no teacher like our parents.

In the final analysis, given the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can arrive at the conclusion that parents are the best teacher, although the professional teachers in school are playing the significant role.
