请教评估比例

请问哪位前辈知道学校评估时各项所占的比例。如：大学成绩占百分之多少；GMAT占多少；Essay占多少；工作经验占多少.......

It varies for different schools. But if you ask the admission officers, they will most likely tell you that there isn't a formula to evaluate an applicant.

why they will tell like that?eeyupyup? Is it just a perfunctory manner? Just want to receive the application fee as much as possible?

In fact they surely have something in mind that what kind of applicant they like......

I can understand your concern. But undfortunately it is the fact that almost all the schools do not have / dont want to tell that they have a set formula for evaluating applicants. And sometimes, they do accept applicants just by their guts feeling. (Stanford as a typical example)

Write your essays the way they like. (HBS: Leadership, Duke: Teamwork blah blah blah) Presenting yourself as one of their students might increase your odd to get in. After all, essay in my opinion counts the most in your application.

And I do agree with you that application is like a game. Well, if you play the game, then follow the rules!!!
